Here are some shots I took while visiting Montreal for new year’s. This was my first time in Montreal and I loved every minute of it. I want to give a quick shout out to Sonia for taking me to La Banquise for some amazing smoked meat poutine, and also all the great people I met at M hostel, which was one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at; great staff, atmosphere, and location. They also had some Okanagan Spring on tap. Good times all around.

I’m a fan of great advertising so I had to share this.

Yesterday I had the chance to watch the Legends Classic hockey game at the ACC in Toronto. The line-up featured this year’s Hall of Fame inductees Mats Sundin, Adam Oates, Joe Sakic, and my favourite player, Pavel Bure. I idolized Bure growing up, but never had an opportunity to watch him play live. Getting to see him receive his Hall Of Fame jacket and lace-up the skates along some of the NHL’s former greats was an amazing experience. The centre ice seats weren’t too shabby either.

These shots have been sitting on the hard drive for too long. Having just watched the Legend’s Classic, I felt inspired to post them up. This game was between Slovakia and Russia during the 2010 Olympics. Russia had a star studded line up with the likes of Ovechkin, Malkin, and Kovalchuk. However, Slovakia came out on top with a 2-1 shootout win thanks to former Canuck, the late Pavol Demitra.

Here’s a great short by VICE Magazine about Donald Weber, a photographer who has documented Chernobyl and the Fukushima nuclear disasters.

I’ve gone MIA for a bit, lots of changes have taken place in my life including a recent trip to Hong Kong and Thailand as well as a relocation to Toronto for school. Photography has taken a back seat for a bit during that time, but I’m making a commitment to start shooting again. Updates to come! In the meantime, check out these wicked double exposure portraits from Christoffer Relander.
